Testing is a bit challenging since there are two pins for the connector and they perform different functions but the best method to test it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is operational, it should be reading about 1000 ohms. Examine for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have issues with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when accelerating from highway paytoll at a high speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs. Three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth one was dry. When I crank the engine without sparks, i place a tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 drenched with gazoline leap out, however the 4th stay closed. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I got zero Ohm. I'm assuming the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID but without success. The car can start if the G28 is unplugged and runs fine when it is connected however it has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when it is unplugged, shows a temperature of -49c. Also, i noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do, as i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. But i'm worried that I may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please chime in! TIA!
